Consultation for writing an authorial or prose book
Give your idea a clear direction
Do you have an idea for a book, but aren't sure where to start? Have you started writing and have questions about the structure, content, or sequel? A book writing consultation is an opportunity to examine your idea, understand what needs development, and plan the next steps. You can focus on writing an authoritative book that showcases your professional knowledge and experience, or on writing a novel or a collection of stories.
What does the consultation include?
In consulting for writing an authority book, we will refine the purpose of the book, the target audience, and the value you want to provide through it. We will examine what makes your knowledge unique, how to organize it into chapters, and what examples and stories will help illustrate it. We will also talk about the connection between the book and your professional activity and the role you want to give it in it.
In prose writing consultation, we will examine the main idea, characters, and conflict that drives the plot. Depending on the stage of writing, you may focus on structure, point of view, pacing, or a particular difficulty that is holding you back.
There is no need to come with all the answers. We will select the most important questions for the current stage and focus on them, to end the conversation with a practical direction for the future.
The experience I bring to the conversation
I am a writer, literary editor, and ghostwriter, with experience in writing and editing prose and non-fiction. I have an MBA from the Hebrew University and a background in high-tech, communications, and business development. This combination allows me to help develop a story and construct a book that is based on professional knowledge.
I write my novels in English. My thriller, Don't Dare to Dream, won a gold medal in the Readers' Favorite International Book Competition. In the talk, I will bring my experience from both sides of the manuscript, as a writer and an editor, to help you explore the options and make decisions that are right for your book.
How will the conversation go?
Before the meeting, I will ask for a few words about the idea, the state of the writing, and the questions that are important to you. If you already have a text, you can send up to 1,500 words in advance for reading.
In the conversation, we will examine the direction and define priorities. We will end with clear steps that you can start implementing, such as refining the idea, building chapter headings, developing a character, or planning a writing routine.
You can schedule a focused consultation on your own or use it as a first step toward guidance in writing a book, literary editing, or shadow writing.
Cost of the consultation call
A one-hour in-person Zoom meeting costs NIS 490, including VAT. The price includes a pre-reading of up to 1,500 words, a brief summary of the recommendations and next steps, and one round of clarifying questions via email after the meeting.
If you choose to continue with the guidance process or to edit a full-scale book, the cost of the consultation call will be deducted from the price of the service.
Do you have a book idea worth talking about?
You can send me a few words about the book you want to write and your main concerns, and we will arrange a consultation. A complete manuscript is not necessary, you can also start with an idea.
